APPEAL OF THE CRIMEAN TATARS - PARTICIPANTS OF THE HUNGER-STRIKE TO WORLD PUBLIC

That, what takes place near the walls of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, became the disgraceful spot of the newest history of Ukraine. Sincerely trusting the government, hoping for an honest dialog with power, we came to the building of the Cabinet of Ministers, to use the democratic way to obtain the decision of the question: to get land and build the houses on it. But we see now: the land problem in Crimea is initiated exactly by operating staff, and present power categorically does not want to decide this problem! For two weeks of the hunger-strike neither a prime minister nor other officials went out to us. The single person who came out to us for negotiations, compelled us by unconscionable deception to stop the hunger-strike.

We understood the position of the Cabinet of Ministers. We realized the position of power. We no longer trust that power considers Crimean Tatars part of the Ukrainian people. That, what happens to us, has only one name - GENOCIDE! Land, guaranteed by the Constitution to the citizens of Ukraine, is not given Crimean Tatars. Power does not want to communicate with Crimean Tatars, openly ignoring not only pickets but also the possibility of the hungry death of the strikers. The high officials of Cabinet go down to cynical deception of picketers, with the goal to stop the hunger-strike but not to decide the problems of Crimean Tatars.

At the same time a course on destabilization of political situation in Crimea is purposefully conducted. More than 15.000 families (it is about 70.000-80.000 persons) for many years can not get the land plot for building of houses and have to live by 2-3 families in one apartment. After the mass returning of Crimean Tatars from the places of deportation, 17 years have passed; a new generation has grown already - and they also get refuses in right for land. The long-term, artificially created tension in the land question has turned the Crimean peninsula on the verge of inter-ethnical conflict for many times already.

Moreover, openly, with the mute adoption of imperious and law organs, anti-Tatar hysteria is forced in Crimea, like chauvinistic newspaper articles and public statements of various politicians. At nights the special troops burst in the peaceful Tatar houses, maims the owners, and after that they call it an official error. Policemen kill Crimean Tatars and does not carry any responsibility for that. The recently opened Crimean-Tatar classes and schools are closed allegedly because of financial crisis.

Power can't but notice this situation. The policy of suppressing and informative blockade of facts of discrimination of the Crimean-Tatar population eloquently talks about secret support of chauvinistic bacchanalia by authorities. The two-week hunger-strike of Crimean Tatars near the Cabinet of Ministers and subsequent unconscionable deception of the hunger-strikers have proved- exactly present power is a customer and organizer of all destabilizing social processes, what are going on in Crimea. And to ask this power to put it in order in the land question - it's the same as to ask a thief to find the stolen.

We have an only one way - to appeal to world public. The whole world must know about the criminal behavior of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in relation to the whole nationality! The whole world must know about falsity of assertions of the Ukrainian government in UNO and European Union, that Ukraine develops as the lawful democratic state! The whole world must know about a genocide, what is going on in our days in Ukraine! The whole world must know that Ukraine can't be in Europe, while there is such a government in the country!

The whole world must say "NO!" to cynical elimination of the whole nationality.

We ask all international law organizations and legal institutes, all public organizations, all national committees and diaspors, all religious organizations - to express indignation on the actions of Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, stop the genocide of Crimean-Tatar people and express support to the participants of action of protest!

For Crimean Tatars, who are exposed to the genocide on their Motherland, there is not other choice.

And there is not other Motherland, except for Crimea!"
